| The Rotunda is
Kingston's latest landmark. It is a haven of
entertainment, bringing with it a much needed cinema, a
variety of restaurants and cafes, as well as a bowling
complex and a leisure centre complete with swimming
pool. Metropolis
AV built the curved LED display above the centre's main
entrance, used to promote businesses within the Rotunda
and elsewhere in Kingston. The display is 13m long and
1m high with a full-colour resolution of 512 x 40
high-brightness pixels.
Technographic Displays
supplied an ACTIV-Banner controller to drive the
display. Rather than being controlled locally, the
standard ACTIV-8 user interface operates via an Internet
connection; the display is actually operated from
Technographic's premises in Ipswich. |
