WEEE
(Recycling)
All producers of Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (EEE) were required to join a Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS)
prior to 15th March 2007. The aim of the UK legislation is to aid the
recycling of EEE when it becomes waste (WEEE) at the end of its life by
getting producers to pay for the collection and recycling activities at
the beginning of the product's life.
Technographic Displays is pleased to
inform its UK customers that it met the deadline by joining the PCS run by B2B
Compliance, a not-for-profit scheme backed by numerous trade
associations. Although many of our fixed installations could be argued to
fall outside the scope of the legislation, we will treat LED display
modules as being in-scope so that proper recycling is funded by
Technographic Displays. For further information about the legislation in
the UK, please see the
DTI website. Information on how to arrange for the recycling of
Technographic Displays products will be added to our website shortly.
