The equipment  used for controlling an LED display (for example ACTIV-Media Player) is ideally located in a control room or some other location that may be some distance away from the display itself.

In such cases, and where Technographic Displays designs a customised solution, the display is often designed with high-speed serial data inputs using glass fibre links.

The FibrePlex interface is a 1U rack-mount unit with a DVI input and up to 16 glass fibre outputs. By programming the FibrePlex firmware, Technographic Displays can provide customised interfaces between a PC-based (DVI) graphics system and a wide range of LED displays.
